Product Research & Launching

Launch products that were
right before you shipped them.

Most launches fail before the first unit lands, because the product was wrong or the plan was guesswork. I pressure-test demand, competition, and margin first, then run the launch so it gains traction from day one.

The problem

A bad launch is an expensive lesson.

There are two ways launches go wrong. The first is choosing a product that can't win, too competitive, too thin on margin, too little real demand, and committing inventory before anyone checked. The second is picking a good product and launching it with no plan, so it stalls, never ranks, and needs an expensive rescue months later.

Both are avoidable. The research answers whether a product is worth launching before you spend on inventory. The launch plan makes sure a good product actually gains rank and reviews in the window that matters. Get both right and the launch works on purpose, not by luck.

What I handle

From "is this worth it" to "it's ranking."

Research and launch execution across UK, US, and EU marketplaces.

01

Opportunity analysis

Assessing real demand, seasonality, and headroom so you launch into a market that can actually support the product.

02

Competitor teardown

Breaking down the top listings, their reviews, pricing, and weaknesses, to find the angle you can win on.

03

Margin & profitability

Modelling landed cost, fees, and pricing so you know the product makes money before you commit to it.

04

Keyword & niche research

Mapping the search terms and sub-niches that define the opportunity and the launch targeting.

05

Launch strategy & runway

A clear plan for the launch window: pricing, advertising, and the sequence that builds rank fastest.

06

Rank & review velocity

Driving the early sales and reviews that push a new product up the rankings, within Amazon's rules.

07

Listing at launch

Making sure the listing is optimised and conversion-ready before traffic hits it, so nothing is wasted.

The approach

Validate, plan, launch, stabilise.

01 / Validate

Prove the case

Demand, competition, and margin checked before a single unit is ordered, so the risk is known upfront.

02 / Plan

Build the runway

Listing, pricing, and advertising mapped into a launch sequence designed to rank quickly.

03 / Launch

Push for rank

Executing the launch to build sales velocity, reviews, and ranking in the window that counts.

04 / Stabilise

Hold the position

Settling the product into profitable, defensible territory once the launch push is done.

Research questions

Straight answers.

How do you decide if a product is worth launching? +

By pressure-testing three things before you commit: real demand, how beatable the competition is, and whether the margin survives fees and advertising. If a product fails on those, better to know before the inventory order, not after.

Do you use research tools? +

Yes, industry-standard data tools alongside manual analysis. Tools give the numbers; judgment decides what they mean for your specific situation. Both matter.

Can you launch into a competitive niche? +

Sometimes it's the right call, sometimes it isn't, and the research tells us which. If a niche is winnable with a clear angle, I'll show you the angle. If it isn't, I'll tell you that too.

How long does a launch take to rank? +

It depends on the niche, competition, and inventory. The launch plan is built to compress that window as much as realistically possible, and I won't quote a timeline I can't stand behind.

Do you handle the listing as well? +

Yes. A launch is wasted on a weak listing, so the listing is built and optimised as part of getting the product ready to go live.
